I have been so lucky of late with friends and family giving me home grown figs from their trees. Oh my, they truly are the fruit of the Gods. Admittedly I have been using the majority of figs to go into paste for my Lucy's Foods venture which I am in the process of getting started but there are other so many truly delightful things that you can do with figs. A simple recipe which I posted here some time ago is this lovely Fig and Marcapone Bruschetta - Recipe. It makes a wonderful appetiser and is perfect for vegetarians.
